On behalf of the organizing committee, I am honored and delighted to welcome you to the Fourth Industrial Revolution: Challenges for Developing Countries International Conference in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

In recent years, considerable development and innovations have emerged throughout industries -e.g., Data Science, Virtual Reality & Gamification, AI & Robots, Block Chain, and Internet of Things. These technologies will engender both opportunities and challenges to business organizations. 

There is a pressing need urges us to develop new talents that understand and promote transformations in Digital Era. Thus, the theme of our conference is focused on the management in the fourth industrial revolution. The conference is organized by the Department of Management at National University of Mongolia and it is dedicated to the Department’s 60th anniversary. We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all former and current professors, staffs, students and alumni of our Department on their many accomplishments over the past 60 years and wish them continued success in the years to come.

Ever since its’ establishment in 1959 as the Department of Planning at the Institute of Economics, the Department has graduated more than 1700 graduates and it has become a highly recognized hub of nurturing professional managers and leaders for Mongolia and beyond, many of whom have now assumed leadership positions in the profession, making important contributions to the local and regional development. The Department offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs on tourism and management studies encompassing three major areas of specialization including business, production and human resource management to prepare students for a variety of managerial responsibilities in today’s dynamic environment.

Finally, I welcome you again to our conference and wish you all have a very fruitful and enjoyable meeting in Ulaanbaatar.
